Bulleit Sessions Glasgow

· Premium Whiskey brand Bulleit Bourbon® is bringing a series of live music events to Glasgow and Edinburgh. The Bulleit® Sessions will feature an exciting array of acts from original Blues pioneers to ‘Distorted Rock’ collectives.

· These sessions aim to demonstrate how much of the music we listen to today is inspired by traditional and Electric Blues, a genre whose early pioneers have had a profound influence on many of today’s modern artists.

· On 12th April 2008, pioneering Electric Blues guitarist Guitar Shorty will be inviting Glasgow musicians to pick up their guitars and take part in a one off free Jamming Session with him as part of The Bulleit® Sessions live event series.

· This is a rare opportunity for local guitarists to join musical forces with an artist credited with influencing Jimi Hendrix and boasting session credentials including work with Ray Charles, BB King and Little Richard.

· Guitar Shorty is notorious for his gob-smacking guitar playing and outlandish stage shows. As indie, rock and R&B continue to reign supreme on today’s Top 40 Charts, it is important to remember the original pioneers of blues-rock and the influence they have had on these genres. Guitar Shorty is part of the original set who have helped shaped the music we hear and buy today.
